What is a Cake Smash?

A cake smash is a fun and popular photography session typically to celebrate a child's first birthday. During a cake smash, the birthday child is presented with a decorated cake and encouraged to dig into it with their hands, creating a playful and messy scene. The Cake Smash photo schoot captures candid and joyful moments as the child interacts with the cake, resulting in adorable and memorable photographs that can be cherished by the family for years to come. Cake smash sessions are often accompanied by themed decorations and props to enhance the atmosphere, and the resulting images are often shared with friends and family.

Cake Smash photography session in my home Studio to capture your little ones first birthday milestone for the family album.

I love Birthday Cake Smashes - 3 shoots in one! The fun begins with clean photos first, then the Cake Smashing fun can start with a gorgeous cake (included). After the Cake Smashing messiness we finish up with Splash photos in a little bath with lots of bubbles to get nice and clean again.

I supply the cake, Props, Cake Stand, Bunting, Spoon, Age Numbers/Letters, Smash Outfits, and we discuss colours beforehand so everything coordinates together.

How it Works:

Pay a deposit when you book your session online. Come along to my Studio and enjoy your shoot. Sit back and relax while the cake smashing magic happens, with cake included and tub splash clean up after, this session will last approx 1 hour. The balance is due on the day of the session and can be paid by card machine or online. After your photoshoot Vicki will create your gallery of beautifully edited images (typically within 2 weeks). You will then be emailed a link and login details for you to download the high resolution digital images from your private gallery.
